Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma enrolled at The Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma knew that she wanted to be an actor and for some time she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre academy where she studied the art of acting and dancing. Her performances had been in a variety of Stagecoach and school productions when she turned ten. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone was the film of 2001 version from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was made in 1999. Emma was discovered by agents through their Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after auditioning for eight times. They were cast as three of the leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's debut film appearance came alongside Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The film set records for opening day and weekend sales, and it was the highest-grossing film of 2001. It was highly praised by people who have read it, along with the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British newspaper, called Emma's performance "amazing". Emma's performance received nominations and won five awards later for the movie.
