Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. She was raised listening to classic, old boleros as well as traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to give her more intense singing instruction. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. Following her move from Mexico to the United States around 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her love for art and music. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her love and enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire, especially among younger generations to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
